California’s SGIP Budget & Equity Resiliency Programs can cover 80–100% of your battery storage costs.
Are you a low-income PG&E customer (enrolled in CARE/FERA or similar)?
You may qualify for the SGIP Equity Budget covering up to 85% of battery system costs.
You may qualify if:
- You live in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 High Fire-Threat District, or
- You’ve had more than 2 Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), or
- You’ve had 5 or more Enhanced Powerline Safety Setting (EPSS) outages since 2023
- Be enrolled in PG&E’s Medical Baseline Program
- Meet PG&E’s income eligibility standards
- Rely on an electric well pump for your water supply
Further eligibility available if you’re enrolled in PG&E’s Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) program or if you already have incentives reserved in an income-qualified solar program (SASH or DAC-SASH).
When combined with RSSE, SGIP can significantly boost your total rebate amount—helping you save thousands more.
